KINDER RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES
The kinder communities project brings together researchers, funders, and housing providers to develop research that helps improve the wellbeing of people moving to, and living in retirement communities. We are conducting a series of studies to better understand the experience of living in a retirement community setting and working alongside residents and staff to co-create ways to make retirement communities more supportive, inclusive and kinder.
The kinder communities project is a collaboration between The University of Surrey, Pargiter Trust, The Whiteley Foundation for Ageing Well, The University of Bristol and Associated Retirement Community Operators. Funding for projects has been provided by The Pargiter Trust and ESRC IAA at the University of Surrey.
